Chaos Daemons vs Khorne Daemonkin Battle Report

I want to start with this match because it's the most fun I had in the last months. We decided not to use vehicles or monstrous creatures. I broke the rules when my Chaos lord became a daemon prince and also summoned a Bloodthirster but I didn't get to use them so it was fine. The Chaos daemons had proxied  Plaguebearers on 40mm bases as Beasts of Nurgle, along with the Nurgle Spawn model. Plaguebearers on 60mm bases act as Plague Drones. The Herald of Nurgle is proxied by a Herald of Khorne model. Unpainted Plaguebearers on 40mm bases act as Fiends of Slaanesh, along with the Slaaneshi Spawn model.

Here are the armies:

Each of us had around 70 models and we both started with everything on the table, we knew that it was going to bee a blood feast and we didn't want to delay it with reserves. I won to deploy first and to start the game. Here is the deployment:

Khorne Daemonkin Turn 1:

I draw the following objectives: Behind enemy lines, secure objective 2  and a khorne specific to kill an entire unite in the assault phase.
Since we both had beasts, cavalry and my opponent (Endre) had daemons of Slanesh, I hesitated to take the middle. All the little shooting that I had, didn't hurt anyone. Behind enemy lines was not that hard to achieve because of the deployment, I ran with the terminators, ran with the bloodcrushers and turbo-boosted the bikers to get objective 2 that was in front of some pretty purple ladies. With 3 units within 12" on the opponents table edge I got 2 points and getting obj. 2 I had 3 points.

Chaos Daemons Turn 1:

The Daemonettes came closer to see the bling on the bikes but they were really not impressed and attacked them like crazy slaughtering them like lambs for easter. Tzeentch made the fire for the biker barbecue and made a lot of wounds on the bloodcrushers. I didn't made any of the saves and 3 and a half bloodchers died.

Khorne Daemonkin Turn 2:

I had enough bloodthied points to summon a squad of bloodletters. Everybody moved up and attacked. Bloodcrushers on the right took out a squad of fiends. Dumb flesh hounds didn't manage to kill a nurgle beast and got stuck in combat with him the entire match. The biker feast continued with the second squad. The second squad of flesh hounds took out some pink horrors and the lord got stuck in combat with a nurgle beast. Possessed were the MVPs of the game they made a lot of wounds on the plague drones.

Chaos Daemons Turn 2:

The crazy purple ladies attacked the bloodcrushers and took them out to dinner, to find out that they are the main course. Two other squads of pretty ladies attacked my bloodletters and a squad of fiends joined the fight against the chaos lord. Possessed managed to take out the entire squad of of plague drones.

Khorne Daemonkin Turn 3:

Not to get my warlord killed I used the bloodthied points to transform him into a daemon prince summoning at the same time a Bloodthirster. Possessed took out the squad of crazy ladies. The other 2 squads of Daemonettes took out my bloodletters and my terminators shoot down a couple of fiends.

Chaos Daemons Turn 3:

The 2 squads of Daemonettes completelly removed my terminators easily my possessed got attacked by beasts of nurgle and fiends but I won combat and because of demonic instability all of my opponents models were removed. As I said earlier Possessed were the MVPs of the game.

At this point the store was closing and we had been playing for about 5 hours so we called it. The score was Chaos Daemons 12 - 7 Khorne Daemonkin.
It was a really nice game, we both had fun and I didn't even get mad.

Photo album of the Chaos army

This is my Chaos army, mostly painted in the Khorne Daemonkin color scheme.
I Started playing Warhammer 40000 in April 2015. The first thing I bought was the Dark Vengeance starter set. I bought a lot a lot of models, at this moment I have 20000 points of Khorne Daemonkin and Chaos Space Marines.
Photos will be added to the album as I paint them.

Babysteps to Waaagh!

(Most of) my current Orks army
When we first started miniature painting we did some of our Chaos in the Old World figurines. Back then, there was a Red Goblin shop in our city and we'd heard of evening painting sessions, so we joined in to see what it's all about. We were hooked. Having a chaotic schedule (pun unintended) we continued at home, but didn't quite finish the whole set.
The husband then got into Warhammer 40k miniature wargaming. He'd been a longtime fan of the computer came and it absorbed him completely from day one. So we moved on to painting a Chaos Daemonkin army. More like he did. I wanted to start a fun project of my own, so I thought some Orksies would be great, especially since there was no Orks army in the local league.
I mostly wanted to paint, but he kept buying orks off eBay and now I kinda have an almost 1000p army, almost 100 units. I've already  started looking for cool dice, so there's no escape for me either. I should start some trial battles soon, people can't wait to play against orks.
The boyz are amazingly funny, I have several generations, but I chose to do a group of Nobz first, they had been half painted by their previous owner. Not the best pic and not the best work, but here they are, after and before. I chose an oldschool color scheme, circa 2nd edition codex. Red, sand, copper and lots of checkered elements (to be added later, seriously considering the purchase of some transfer sheets). I like to keep the horns and fangs pearly white, although I know greenskinz are dirty unkept fungi. Well, momma's boyz have manicured fingernails, colored highlights in their hair and pristine teeth. They are savage that way :D
I've got a killa base for one of the Killa Kanz
I also have a lovely Deffkopta, a handful Killa Kans and some badass bosses, one of which is a biker. Also, a squig hadler. Squids are the cutest disgusting things ever. It will take an eternity to finish painting these bad boyz. And maybe a fortune in custom dice :)) But, thankfully, the guys at MiniWarGaming will be undertaking a GorkaMorka campaign. Lots of inspiration coming my way and probably even more laughter, knowing these guys. I hope that also plants the seeds of motivation. The boyz need their momma's love.

The first sacrifice

Devotion to Khorne requires proof and daemon followers summon impressive amounts of energy in order to please their overlord champions. Energy that can be drawn from a resource thicker than blood, that never ceases to please the forces of Chaos. Yes, it is chocolate I am speaking about. Here is a throwback image of our first sacrifice to the Blood God. The puny name of chocolate fudge cake does not do justice to this heroic undertaking of Chaos temptation. But be ready for more and more impressive sacrifices of the sort.

Brothers! Welcome to the feast! Tell me, which among you will be the first course? (Lucius the Eternal)
